A split CD. The first half challenged contributors to use seemingly less-than-musical objects to make interesting noises. The second half features tracks created using only sounds from video games. Go from bicycles to exploding monsters in one convenient package!

This was recorded at the fine facilities of the Columbia U Computer Music Center using amazingly huge cheap nylon shorts as the sole instrument.

I found that by spreading my legs while sitting down, the crotch of the vast shorts (which ordinarily hung about 4 inches below my crotch, mind you) would become flat and tight like a drum. I then close-miked the crotch area while scraping my fingernails across the surface for drone-like effects. The percussion is me hitting the tightened crotch area. Obviously everything has been processed quite a lot using a variety-pak of ProTools plugins.

I'm really glad no one walked in the studio while I was recording this.
